Blackletter Text Page – Medieval Initial with Floral Margin Ornament

A big decorated initial U opens this two column page of dense blackletter type, with curling leaves sprouting above it. A trail of small rosettes runs down the left margin, and a Latin heading naming Jacobus de Voragine sits in a banner at the top. In the right column, a second, smaller drop cap starts the next section. It’s cut out on a transparent background, so the medieval lettering and ornament sit cleanly over any color. Framed as wall art, it gives a study or reading nook a quiet gothic mood.
