Drop Cap M – Gothic Square Initial with Dotted Scroll Flourishes

This illuminated initial M is built from two pointed, almond-shaped strokes set on a solid black arch inside a square frame. Each stroke carries a spiral eye and fine hatching, while the corners hold a dotted field and loose scrollwork and flourishes spill past the edges. The Gothic feel comes through in the heavy black ground and the small cross-shaped finials at the top and bottom. It’s cut out on a transparent background, so it can drop straight in as the opening letter of a chapter.
