Bus and Car Hire Ticket – Pink Midcentury Advert with Bold Display Type

A pink ticket advertising saloon buses and private cars for hire, issued by Davies Bros. (Pencader) Ltd of Blossom Garage, Pencader. The layout stacks lines of display type between two thin vertical rules. Heavy sans lettering sits alongside a wide, light FOR HIRE and a condensed serif for the company name, with phone number 209 and the serial A6736 tucked at the foot. This little Midcentury trade card makes a charming piece of transport ephemera for junk journal and scrapbook pages, and it comes cut out on a transparent background.
