Business Letterhead – Ornate Company Name and Handwritten Notes

A memorandum letterhead from Joseph Ashworth and Sons, Limited, an oil cake mill and bone and manure works at Frodsham Bridge, Cheshire. The masthead pairs shaded display lettering with a flourished script Memorandum and a row of prize medals on the left. Below sits a printed payment notice, filled in with looping Edwardian handwriting that names Banbury and a cake account due. It’s cut out on a transparent background, so the medals, the bold typography and the ink handwriting drop cleanly into a mixed media collage.
