London Transport Ticket – Midcentury Purple Stamped Fare Stub with Torn Edges

This is a London Transport fare ticket stamped in faded purple ink, showing a 9d ordinary fare from stage 12 on route 074, ticket number 7305. The layout is a neat grid of boxed fields for fare paid, class and stage boarded, then a center panel with the London Transport name, a small block of conditions and a Not Transferable strip along the bottom. Its Midcentury English ephemera charm comes from the rubber-stamp typography, the bold numbers and the aged cream paper with stains and torn edges top and bottom. It is cut out on a transparent background, so you can drop it straight into a travel-themed collage.
