Ticket Strip – Midcentury Birmingham 5d Fare Stubs With Bold Serif Numbers

Two joined Birmingham C.T. tickets, each priced at 5d, with bold serif serial numbers Mg74054 and Mg74055 across the top. The stubs are stacked one above the other on pale green stock, with a round punch hole between them and torn edges where they were pulled from the roll. Each ticket has boxed fare columns for ordinary, child and workman riders over a red chevron pattern, plus a purple 08 stamp and the Bell Punch Co. Ltd., London imprint along the bottom. It’s a nice bit of Midcentury English ephemera, cut out on a transparent background, and it slips easily into a junk journal spread or a travel-themed collage.
