Bus Ticket – Midcentury Children’s 3d Fare With Large Letter C Overprint

A Midcentury English bus ticket for a children’s 3d fare, with a bold letter C across the center and stage numbers down both sides. It was issued by Birmingham City Transport and carries the Bell Punch Co. Ltd., London imprint along the bottom edge, with the serial Kg 2000 printed across the top. Chunky slab numerals, ruled stage columns and the conductor’s punch hole give this piece of ephemera plenty of typographic character. It’s cut out on a transparent background, so it drops straight into a scrapbook layout or junk journal page.
