Bus Ticket – Midcentury Children’s Penny Fare with Big Letter C Overprint

This is a Birmingham City Transport children’s bus ticket for a 1d fare, stamped with a huge outlined letter C across the middle. Columns of stage numbers run down both sides, a punched hole sits near the top left, and the serial 7Va 4195 crosses the top in chunky numerals. The small print at the foot credits Bell Punch Co., Ltd., London, and the whole Midcentury English ticket comes cut out on a transparent background. Drop it into a travel journal spread for a hit of real transit typography.
