London Transport Bus Tickets – Midcentury Purple Fare Stubs, Route 140

A pair of London Transport bus tickets from route 140, inked in faded purple with a fare of 12½ and stage 34 boarded. The two stubs sit one above the other. Each is a narrow grid of boxed fields for fare paid, class, stage boarded and ticket number, with 3RD on the top stub, COM on the lower one, and a Not Transferable strip at the foot of each. The blocky sans serif typography and big numerals give it a Midcentury English ephemera feel. It comes cut out on a transparent background, so it drops straight into junk journal pages or travel-themed collage.
