A British Railways Board platform ticket from Burton-on-Trent, with a bold red diamond stamped right across the black type. The little card has scalloped torn edges, a serial number running up the left side and a row of numbered boxes, 1 to 12, split along the top and bottom. Platform Ticket and Not Valid in Trains sit in heavy sans serif lettering above smaller serif fine print about the Board’s conditions, a typography mix that feels very Midcentury English. It’s cut out on a transparent background, so it drops straight into a railway-themed scrapbook layout.
