Railway Ticket – Burton-on-Trent Child Fare, Midcentury Red Lettering

This is a second class railway ticket to Burton-on-Trent, a Midcentury piece of English travel ephemera cut out on a transparent background. A red dashed line splits it into two halves, each marked Mid Week. Bold slab lettering spells out the town name, and the word CHILD runs vertically in red down both sides. Large serial numerals 0166 stand at either edge, a faint red MW mark sits behind the destination, and small type covers fares, routes and conditions. Tuck it into a travel journal collage for a real bit of railway typography.
