Railway Ticket – Burton-on-Trent Day Excursion With Red Letter D Stamp

A second class day excursion railway ticket to Burton-on-Trent, with a big red letter D stamped across the left half. It is a two-part ticket split by a dashed red line. Each half carries bold lettering, blank Via and Fare lines, and the serial number 0252 running sideways down both ends in large numerals. The Midcentury English typography has a worn letterpress feel, from the heavy 2nd down to the small For conditions see over line at the bottom. Cut out on a transparent background, this piece of ephemera drops straight into a travel scrapbook or junk journal spread.
