Railway Ticket – Burton-on-Trent to Birmingham, Midcentury Serif Type

A British Railways early morning return ticket, third class, from Burton-on-Trent to Birmingham New Street via Tamworth. Bold serif typography runs across the gray card, with large 227 numerals printed sideways at each end, two red diagonal stripes and a ragged, torn bottom edge. The small print about bye-laws and the row of weekdays across the top give it real Midcentury English travel character, and it comes cut out on a transparent background. Drop it into a travel scrapbook layout or collage for an authentic railway touch.
