Railway Ticket – Midcentury Burton-on-Trent Child Single with Red Type

This is a small English railway ticket for a second class child single from Burton-on-Trent, with bold red CHILD lettering running down both sides. The serial number 0960 sits large at each end. The center has ruled lines for the destination and route, with small type that points to the book of routes and to the conditions on the back. The plain gray card and the mix of heavy sans serif and slab lettering give it a real midcentury feel. It comes cut out on a transparent background, so it drops straight into a travel journal spread or a junk journal collage.
