Railway Ticket – Midcentury Pink Cheap Day Return with Child Stamp

A pink midcentury English railway ticket, a second class Special Cheap Day return to Burton-on-Trent with a bold CHILD overprint and a big red D rubber stamp. The card is split into two matching halves, outward and return, each with its own Via and Fare lines and small print pointing to the book of routes. Chunky serial numbers run sideways down both ends, and the typography mixes a sturdy slab serif with heavy sans lettering for the station names. It comes cut out on a transparent background, so it drops straight into a junk journal spread or a travel collage.
