Ticket Stub – Birmingham City Transport Fare, Red Stripes, Midcentury

A Birmingham City Transport ticket for a 3½d ordinary fare, numbered 2046 and printed by the Bell Punch Company of London. Two bold red stripes cross the tan ticket, with fare stage numbers 1 to 4 running down both edges and a punch hole near the top. Chunky serif display type and tiny small print about bye-laws and regulations give it that Midcentury English ephemera feel. It comes cut out on a transparent background, ready to drop into a collage or travel journal layout.
